One For The Murphys
by Lynda Mullaly Hunt

View in Library Catalog

I gave this book four stars because it's written in the point of view of a middle schooler, so I would recommend middle schoolers to read this book, but as a high schooler I couldn't relate to it as well as I'd like. But I enjoyed the book nonetheless and the ending had me in tears. I didn't realize how attached I was to the main character. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book.

Playhouse Disney Storybook - Annie's Solo Mission

It was an exciting adventure. I had to act out parts and help with the mission.

The Lost Apothecary
by Sarah Penner

What a beautiful tale of women and their paths that are richly entangled with love, betrayal, and the bonds that support us and keep us going. This book was worth the wait and I would highly recommend it!

Silent Night Sue Thomas
by Sue Thomas

This book was an excellent biography of the life of Sue Thomas a deaf woman employed by the FBI to read lips on surveillance recordings. I highly recommend it.

The Blazing World
by Siri Hustvedt

this story of the life of Harriet Burden has a rather interesting format. It is a very strange tale. Unfortunately I found it very hard to like, or have much compassion for any of the people in the book.

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
by Gail Honeyman

I felt this book was a bit of a slow read. However it held my interest enough to finish it. Eleanor’s quirky personality had me laughing at parts. Other parts made me question how she could honestly not have heard of some things….

Can You Keep A Secret
by Sophie Kinsella

This was great! You can mostly predict what is going to happen, but just like a Hallmark movie, you don’t mind and enjoy it anyway. Some parts of the book make you cringe with the main character. As if it’s happening to you!

The Wedding
by Nicholas Sparks

I, like most, am a fan of The Notebook. So branching out and reading about Noah’s daughter and her husband was pretty neat. I like how this book wrapped up. His books are good and predictable, but this one got me! I like that!

No Fixed Line
by Dana Stabenow

I adore Dana Stabenow's work. She is that rare combination of a terrific writer and a wonderful storyteller. This book is the 22nd in the Kate Shugak series, and is a satisfying, fun read. But you must start at the beginning and read in order! Begin with "A Cold Day for Murder" and fall in love with Alaska.

I'll give you the sun

So far this book is really good and very page turning between the drama with her and her brother.
